Above - Father Mens celebrated his March 4, 2011 birthday by bringing treats to all the school children. In return, students presented Father with gifts of appreciation. Pictured above is the Kindergarten class of Miss Carroll whose special gift was a touching prayer that the students composed themselves for Father.

Priesthood Sunday was October 25, 2009. Proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI, it's a day to honor priests for their dedication and service to the Church and its people. St. Mary students honored Father Mens with a life sized cutout of himself holding a large recipe card. The students brought forward all the "ingredients" on flashcards that make up a parish priest and placed them on the receipe card: knowledge, compassion, prayerful, fun, sense of humor and agility (to keep up with the students). Put them all together and it serves 100's daily and was created and tested by St. Mary students.
